Chablis : Too accidic and disjointed. Likely over the hill.

Tired. Not sure whether there was a touch of premox as well. Regardless, tired and not very enjoyable.

This showed quite well, and outperformed expectations.

Very nice wine. There is a slight floral aspect on the nose. Flavours of lime, fermented green apple, with hints of mineral and an almost oily texture. Good acidity, but more rounded and smooth than younger wines. Seems to have held up well, although I don't have a lot of experience with aged Chablis for comparisons.

Tasted blind. From 375. Ripe apple and pear aromas, seemed to have a touch of new oak still noticeable. Also slightly ripe on palate, still good acidity, but a bit more mature than the nose implied. I correctly identified varietal, country, region, vintage range and then the 2002 vintage, but didn't think it had the minerality of Chablis, so got that wrong.

Great color no premox- very light on the palate delivering a nice punch of chalk, lemon rind, grapefruit, medium to light acidity, and slate. Finish is not overwhelming and this is not as dry as I'd like but it is a nice value play..

typical chablis, mineral and sea, perfect to light grilled white fish.

Very nice, not too much in the house style, lush, full.

Rich honey, mineral, citrus, silky, round, perfect acidic backbone, very tasty

No premox. In the Chablisienne house style, classic Vaillons, lime, talc, stone dust, 02 richness, nutty, nice wine. Opening my 02's out of fear for premox but no issues here. Enjoyable 2nd night too. A little light on acid.

Full yellow gold in color. The nose has sulfur and apples. Just a touch of oxidation. On the palate, this is soft but tart. Slightly bitter (oxidized) with apples on the palate. Long finish. I think this has started down the road to PreMox and was luckily opened at this time.

this wine is still singing...great verve with still citrus fruit but think it has gained a bit of size and complexity with age

Mineral and brine in an elegant, balanced package. Drinking well now, plenty of life left in it.

Seems ready to go, and probably won't get too much better. Pineapple fruit, little bit of lemon oil. Good balance, not quite soft yet, and finishes with a small touch of vanilla oak. Easy to drink, good with food and without. edit to add: really good on the 2nd night open, lots of chalk and minerals. Maybe this will still improve from here. Change to Drink and Hold.

So smooth and balanced. Great floweral nose and tastes. A bit of oil still and minerals. A great QPR. But, aging quicker than I thought it would

just drank my last bottle of this wine and it was delicious--the best yet. it has developed a pleasing nuttiness with age yet still has the vibrancy and backbone i liked so much when it was young. the "thickness" which some friends found offputting is mellowing out too. all in all, an outstanding wine. wish i had more . . .

losing some 'umph' from the past. But, still an excellent chablis; especially for the price.

Quite nice, floral scents up front. Seemed to have quite a bit of fruit/citrus and mostly grapefruit to me. Went well with seafood pasta, glad I have a few more.

Since two years ago this seems more chalk/mineral with the white fruit/citrus backing off. Still zesty and floral and a nice wine with food.

Pretty good bottle, green pineapple, chalky minerals, chicken broth. Starts out round but picked up some verve and cut with air. Nice with halibut and various salads.

acidity of this wine is most prominent element...seemed more so in this bottle than previous two. I would say good but not to the level of previous...maybe stuffing fading to balance acidity. Still good but not as

Really developed into nice stuff. Juicy fruit and warmth, along with the requisite minerality. Good nuance and second complexity from age. Lovely.

SN and AN drank this half bottle at Palena, followed by a half bottle of 2001 Latour. Yummy! Just how chablis should taste!
