Deep ruby in the glass, muted berries on the nose, palate of bold black fruits, plum, cherry and a hint of eucalyptus mid palate, finish stays with you awhile. Nice.

For $10, this is excellent value. 87-88 Pts. A solid everyday wine. Ruby color. Having a hard time describing this wine - really nothing sticks out, and yet, its a pleasing taste.

For price and style that i would expect - this delivers just fine at this point, served a hair below room temp and opened and aired for a good hour. I am inline with the pro notes, no other significant comments otherwise on this one. Nose is nice with darker fruit with some light oak. Palate is a tad tart with acid and light tannin and otherwise has dark unripe cherry fruit with a smokey quality. Nice med+ body with …

Enjoyed earlier tonight with our unofficial dinner club at M5 restaurant in Charlotte NC. A real pleasant surprise of a wine, very good and at this price point a very good QPR. Bold wine, purple / black color, very smooth and well balanced at this point, long lingering spicy and peppery aftertaste. Nose initially muted but on opening in glass the bouquet presented a range of dark stone fruit, initially white pepper and some red cherry. Primary flavors included some …

Nose: On this bottle there was a little dusty quality and less Rioja funk. Palate: Consistant with my last notes, but the fruit seems a little more pronounced and rounder. Last bottle was fine but this one shows much better.

Nose: Typical Rioja funk with a little briny quality. Palate: Firm acid present up front with cherry undertones. A simple but pleasant wine that is good with food and a decent value if purchased on sale.

Very good wine for the price. Deep red, good aroma, tastes of earth, smoke, solid fruits, and a little spice. Of course the typical Rioja sweat too.

Disappointing. Had a strong taste of sweat.

This might be the best value I've ever had. The nose is delicious with cedar oak, herbs, and sour red cherries. A good amout of tannins and acidity and a long finish. There are more cherris and dried herbs on the pallet. This is good wine. Very dry and good with tomato based pasta.

BYO to one of the local restaurants. Wanted to go to the local Spanish place, but they were closed! Wine was great with Italian food also. Very subtle finish for a wine in this price range.

Mild sweaty socks smell. Low tannins, strong sweaty socks, moderate acids. Not too complex but at least not flabby - has some of the unique Rioja character.

Typical Tempranillo scents of earth and sweat. Was not able to analyze well because I had a tokaiji (sp) before this..whoops.

Poured at a retailer tasting. This was a solid red color with a slightly brownish hue. A nice round structure with ripe fruit. Smokey berry, kirsch and dried meat notes. Not as good as some of the other Spanish wines at this tasting but very good. 89 points.
