Lost the sweetness now. Maybe last bottle was an abberation? Nice dtructure and drinking beautifully now. Great extraction & balance. I think a good time to drink.

No official notes but at the $50 I paid for this it's tough to beat!

No detailed notes, but I liked it… fruit forward, and yes… a tiny bit syrupy… but well put together, smooth tannins; a real pleasure with food or to dip. Sorry it was my last one 🥲

Decanted 90 minutes. Usually I’m a fan of Quivet Syrahs and not a fan of the Cabs. This wine could be 93-94 plus points but it is way too sweet of a fruit bomb Syrah. The winemaker should take a trip to Rhone and learn how to make Syrah. This is like an over ripe Paso like wine. My wife thought it was fine but when I asked her what grape this wine was the first thing she said is …

Very tasty but still so ripe and young. Very fruit forward with a touch of pepper. I didn’t get many of the savory characteristics that M Dogs mentioned in his review. Will be more focused when I taste the last glass tonight! A few years ago I read an article about young fruity Syrah being a good match for oysters. I couldn’t help thinking that would be an excellent pairing for this bottle. I might have to figure out how …

WOW, drank with Brad and Andy. I had 1 glass the previous day and we finished it on day 2. This was excellent, best Syrah I've had this year. JD rated it 97 and I totally agree- balanced, dark fruit with the pepper, meat, olive, that you get with Syrah. Cost from winery was $46, what a bargain. Brad and Andy agreed with my score. Give it a good decant or wait several years.

Drank a night after the non-WC and was surprised by the difference. Agree with AG notes that this is more floral and savory but not with his assessment that there isn't much difference between the two. The Whole Cluster is red fruit driven with bright cherry and some lively acidity while the non-WC has become quite jammy with blue fruit dominated. Both are good and great value for Napa Syrah at the $48 release price.

Just arrived yesterday. This wine has more spice and less plush fruit than the Las Madras I opened yesterday. I suspect that is a function of the whole cluster ferment. This is more rough around the edges than yesterday's wine, but still outstanding with red fruits - cherry, raspberry and perhaps plum to go with the spice. Put the next one away for 4 years.
