Raventos i Blanc, Blanc de Blancs, Cava

Wine Spectator newbies; 10/18/2018-10/20/2018 (Marriott Marquis) : A house that is trying to up the level of cava and create a higher quality product from that area. It's an interesting wine. There's almost a sand flavor to the bubbles which doesn't sound great, but works. On the heels of champagne it's clear it's not really that level, but is more interesting than a standard cava.

A Cava from the region of Alt Penedès. 15 months of bottle ageing. Good balance between freshness and richness. Lemony and green apples. very nice
