Very light in color, which wouldn’t necessarily discount a Burgundy but is abnormal for a Russian River Pinot. Mild Pinot fragrance, light but authentic Pinot flavors in the taste. Fortunately, good acidity holds the wine together, offering some hope for a more fulfilling future. I am not a fan of full, soft, over-the-top Russian River Pinots, but this one errs to the other side a bit too much.
