Dr. Deinhard Deidesheimer Langenmorgen Riesling Spätlese trocken

Old golden color, on nose petrol, old Riesling. continues on the palate. Not much fruit left, but quite a well balanced, full and very pleasant wine. Acidity creeps in at the very end, but not in an obtrusive or detracting way: Provides needed balance. Wine has kept well, I doubt it could go much longer. Last bottle of 12 bought in 2003. I hear that under the new ownership the quality of Dr. Deinhard wines has been slipping. What a …
