Lovely, even held up (suctioned, in the refrigerator) for a second night. Good QPR.

Wine Education Service - Trentino and Alto Adige (LSE) : Pale rose with a bit of brown. Fruit and vegetable and mineral with a bit of meatiness. Quite a big nouth, easy to drink but would need food, sweet finish.

Wine Education Service Trentino & Alto Adige Tasting (LSE) : Very pale, slightly tawny. Classic Tavel rose in colour. Smelled like Mr Whippy ice cream with a confected strawberry sauce. Fruit is tinny. Dry palate with strawberry fruit and a touch of astringency.

In the glass the color of this reminds me of the "pink panther". Scents of strawberries, cherry, and watermelon Jolly Rancher are the most obvious. In the mouth there is good acidity followed by tart cherry, and a bit of a sweet-tart candy flavor. A nice blush...

In my continuing quest for the rose grail, I had the opportunity to try a most refreshing rose from Alto Adige. Made from the native Lagrein grape it is a stunner. Nose of berries and spicy flowers. Palate of spice, red current, cranberry and rasberry. A little more substance than most rose. Nice finish. Look for this. Imported by Dalla Terra.
