A private lunch (Restaurant Ron Gastrobar *, Amsterdam, NL) : A solid Bourgogne Blanc, ripe fruit and some warmth from the wood, hint of spice, vibrant acidity, hint of rusticity, good tension and length.

Pure white peach, green apple, lemon curd and spice. Good shape and volume. Some minerally detail. Layered and long for its level, with some chalky grip. Lovely balance.

This has a percentage of 1er Cru juice, added back in from the press and punches well above its Bourgogne level. It is loaded with pure orchard fruit aromas and flavours. There’s good depth and flesh and real minerally freshness. A wine of good balance and persistence.
