Podere Campriano Chianti Classico Riserva Le Balze di Montefioralle

This was a restaurant purchase and entirely new producer for me. The nose is a bit shy at first, but it opens up after about a half hour with lovely tones of bright red cherries, raspberries, licorice, dark red berries, violets, roast herbs, savory spice notes, and a Touch of leather.
