Orofino Vineyards Merlot Collector's Club Single Barrel

This bottle was past its prime. It improved after about 30-40 minutes in the decanter, but it wasn't into anything special. Ok wine, currently not offering a lot of pleasure...and I don't believe this will improve in the future. Drink now.

It's evolving! :) Still very good, with a nice complexity...the only issue is the alcohol level that you can feel on the finish. Besides that it's excellent. Am I the only one drinking this wine? :)

The least interesting bottle I had of this wine so far. Alcohol was a bit more present. Still has some very nice violet, blueberry aromas. Tannins are soft. Decant for at least 45 minutes. Serve at 16C max.

Almost as good as my first one. A bit of heat on the finish, but overall excellent.

Absolutely stunning. Never a big fan of the Red Bridge Merlot from Orofino...but this is in another league. This Merlot comes from the Home Vineyard and it was beautifuly balanced, with soft tannins, complex and long...I'm impressed. Floral aromas mixed with a lot of red/black fruits...almost juicy. Probably near its peak and will remain there for another few years before developing tertiary aromas. Not sure it can become more appealing.
