I bought a case when released and have opened a few bottles over the years. Until about a year ago I thought this wine needed more age. The tannins were rough and the fruit was tight. 3oz Coravin pull, sat open for 75 mins, then tasted. Nose is dominated by dark fruit and oak. Color is medium ruby. Smooth for a cab with fine tannins that have seemed to resolved Jen selves as much as possible. A little short on the finish. Dried plum, vanilla and heat dominate the flavor profile. Good enough, better with food. Agree with others that while this has the nose of Stags Leap, the flavor profile is less distinctive.

Delicious soft cab still with plenty of dark Canernet fruit, decent nose, decent finish, terrific with a ribeye. Doubt it will improve further but should last a couple years yet.

A good to excellent every day cab.

Nice dark purple. On the nose I pick up dark cherry and as you keep swirling, it becomes very dominate. also pick up some sort of sweetness. Upon tasting I get cherry and maybe some plum or other stone fruit. Initially very soft and velvety on the palate until the tannins kick in ever so gently. The finish was somewhat short. I liked the overall structure of this wine. This is a steal at this price.

A very adequate cab. every aspect of this cab sang out "Stags Leap District." It was a perfect match for my baked ziti and beef rollups stuffed with Italian ham and italian flavored bread crumbs with minced garlic, parsley, and olive oil and simmered in a plum tomato, beef stock and chopped onion sauce for 4 hours. This wine handled this dinner admirably.

Tried this over two nights. First night was closed and rather interesting on the nose and palate. Around 85 pts. I pumped the remaining half bottle and on the second night the nose was significantly better, predominant aroma's of black cherry. Palate was on the flat side. Overall a decent wine for $15, but I would not repeat. Avg of 87

Purple color, nose a bit reticent, but opens up with some time. Medium body, well-integrated tannins. Flavors of plum predominates; no secondary flavors and not complex whatsoever. I think CH wines have become a bit boring for me. While they seem competently made, they lack anything that makes you want to come back for more.

A conundrum. This is not a wine I would have gone looking for. I'm not big on single varietals and I do like to know about terroir. That said, it"s a very approachable minty cab with a touch more sigar than I like. At this price point we have an excellent table wine, but why, oh why 14.4% alcohol?

Medium bodied Cabernet showing a good deal of dark fruit but not much in the way of secondary flavors -- a bit of oak and that's about it. Out of balance with noticeable acid but very little tannins, though the acid pulled back on day two and became more easy to drink. I generally love wines from the Stag's Leap district but this was kind of uninteresting. I'd drink now -- additional aging is unlikely to improve this wine.

After a year in the cellar this CH cab is good but not as good as the 2007s. I'm glad to have them at the price I paid, but I don't covet them like some others.

Mid body, more on the fruity side. Balanced acidity, tannic and spice. An easy drink one.

Nose started off with a bit of pickling spice. This blew off and everything integrated in about 1 hr. Tightly knit blueberries and black berries. Turns more serious on the mid-palate and finishes with almost a touch of bitter tannins. Nose has some definite "grandma's cellar" going on. Dusty blue fruits. Dusted chocolate emerged over time.

Double decanted, smoothed out nicely. Wonderful cabernet, this should continue to go well for several years to come.

Dark garnet, somewhat translucent in the glass. Red currants, a suggestion of wax and some herbs on the nose. Medium bodied with relatively soft tannins. A bit simple, but pleasant and much more enjoyable than the 90+ cellars Garnacha I opened initially. Contrast is everything. Pretty good.

Decanted 2 hours. Opulent red fruit, sweet/sour cherry, well integrated oak, smooth tannins. Very enjoyable wine overall especially considering the price.

Out of the bottle this is tight and almost flavorless. Towards the end of the first glass the tannins starting showing up with a vengeance, leaving me to wonder how this might evolve. The next day the nose was a lot more expressive (raspberries!) but was showing the alcohol. Decanted for over 2 hrs. Noticed the nose immediately, very nice, black fruit & currants. Smooth tannin structure, fairly balanced. My wife and I enjoyed with Stilton Blue Cheese and Olives which paired very nicely. We still have two of these bottles left in the cellar and look forward to drinking again soon.

14.4% ABV. Dark garnet in the glass, somewhat opaque. Aromatically this has some red currant and caramel cedar nuances with a slight metallic tinge. Medium-full bodied with fairly supple red fruit and a waxy quality. The tannins are fairly soft. Could use a little more concentration. I feel as if I’m floating on a Spanish Castle cotton-candy cloud, with raspberries cascading down from the heavens, like God shedding a raspberry tear, licked off the lower back of the supermodel Adriana Lima. Another good effort from the onslaught of CH cabs that have hit my cellar recently. I'll put this a touch below the '06 Diamond Mountain. It definitely needs time to open up so make sure to decant it as it's tight out of the bottle.

A bit of a let down. This has been cellared since arriving 5 months ago. Dark color with a little cheese on the nose when first opened.
