Athenais Aligoté Amphore

Aligoté at Table, Donkey and Stick (Chicago, IL) : For a wine that's clearly not my preferred style, there is admittedly some nice stuff here. Unfortunately, you have to slog through the cidery, funky, dirty things to get there. There's that weird floral perfume thing from the skin contact that always feels a bit sickly to me too. But the palate shows a nice touch of salinity and a hint of grassiness too. Too far off the path for me.
