721 days lapse. Rugged, aristocratic, insurgent acid, intense bouquet, szyrupy and austere. Dried porchini, raspberry muddled herb oils

532 days lapse. 2014 La Fussire has arrived! (I would say "finally" but for the lack of an agreeable timeframe.) It's showing quite pale, with a penny-sized reserve of fine sediment. The aromas stride and thrust all about, with colorful implications of barn-aged black raspberries and worn hardwood safes, used as furniture for keeping hashish, tobacco, and spice. Dry earth. Sober, ivy oil, surging red berry and spice. Small containers of spice and musk, a dense thicket of berry bramble, freshreally freshacidity. Cranberry, mustard flowers, tamarind, Asian spices. Lyrical fruit fragrance. Antique buttons buttoned up. The texture is ample, finished with oil, and sweet. Do your food a favor.

Well, either this wine has changed a bunch in 14 months or my last bottle was way off. I didn't like my last bottle - tonight's wine was lovely. Nose was present right away, showing earth and sour cherry, showing age on the nose. This is definitely showing age also on the palate, but there is a good amount of fruit (sour cherry) and acid there, and a nice long finish. The wine pours fairly clear, but has a lot …

Initial impression: very light colored wine. Already showing age. Zero nose. Very light, flavorless wine. Several hours later after a decant: This wine is gaining a bunch in complexity. Nose is starting to show a bit (cherries). The typical Fussiere flavors are starting to come out (deep, dark berry flavors). Flavor has gotten much bigger somehow - bright cherry (tart) flavor lingers on the palate. Some tannins showing through, mostly seems like stem - tart, quite nice actually. I'm intrigued …
