savoury notes dominating, earth, barn, oak, some dry herbals and whole bunch flavours. dry chalky tannins, not very balanced as it lacks fruity side. 11 months in French barrel, 25% new, unfiltered and unfined. respectful hard work in a extreme challenging vintage. Sk 94, BC 94, DC 94, MC 4.5 Ap 5/5, Ar 12/15, Palate 16/20, Overall 3+3/10 Total 89/100

Not too shabby table wine. Decent red fruit with some dust, depth and structure.

Medium pale colour, nose unremarkable, lacking in fruit & perfume, light on the palate (13%) with a rather mean finish. Not faulty in any way but not worth £23 a bottle. There are much better NZ pinots for the same price.
