Drinking extremely well right now. Note some sediment in the bottle. Red and dark cherries, cola, plum, and spice on the nose and palate. Copious, but silky tannins frame this soft, jammy wine. Long finish of dark fruit and a touch of earth. Nothing at all hot or angular - very nice Zin. 92-94 pts. PJP 2016.

This has a big blackberry nose, which is always a good start, followed by a upfront sweet floral flavors that alter to black fruit, lots of spice, and earth. The long finish has a slightly acidic, tannic edge. All these flavors add up to a nicely layered complex wine. This isn't a fruit bomb zin, but it does have good fruit and excellent flavors.

This is just a really solid and interesting wine that I had over two days. I did not like most of what Bella did beyond the estate zin but this one was good.

Light nose, dusty, earthy flavors mingle with black fruit and medium tannins. I'm not sure this is my favorite vintage of the cuvée, but it is quite pleasant with a nice medium long finish of earth and lingering fruit.

A bit tannic and unbalanced right now with limited fruit coming through. Some dark, jammy fruit and earthiness on the nose initially, but not much fruit beyond that. In the mouth, the fruit quickly fades away to an earthy, mushroomy character and the palate becomes overwhelmed by tannins. Some sweet oak provides a redeeming quality, but this by itself will not save this wine. Not Bella's best effort for this particular bottling. PJP 2012.

Black fruit, vanilla, and some baking spice on the nose. In the mouth gives way to nice texture, good blue/black fruit, and nice length. Very enjoyable and no hint of alcohol/heat.

Classic Zin nose of blackberry cobbler, with dark blackberry and black raspberry fruit, pleasant bitterness (akin the the bitterness of the biscuity part of the cobbler), and the kick of black pepper. The finish was moderate with a hint of caramelized sugar. The fruitiness and kick were great matches for grilled sausages and ribs on the deck.
