Jen refused to drink this (so we spilled it). I thought it was mediocre but drinkable. It was $5.85 / bottle on sale a long time ago. 85 points

I guess I am a hard grader. We bought these for $5.80/bottle; at this price the wine represents excellent value. However, I wouldn't buy it at the regular $15 retail. There were some fruit and wood notes, but it was closed. Not very tannic ... and a little grapey on the end. Maybe bottle variation? ... I don't know.

Deep red color. A someone restrained nose with a few woody notes. Seems to be merlot dominated, though quite fresh and balanced, if on the ripe end of spectrum. The fruit is a touch muted but the texture and finish suggest there may be something more. Not super-tasty at the moment but well-made and good QPR.

Cocoa and plum nose. Palate of clear terroir, vines, truffles and licorice. Finish is long, dry, slightly bitter, with cocoa and plum skins.
