This bottle was surely past its prime, much worse than the one I had ~2 months ago, so there must be also some bottle variations. Not corked but just tired, bitter and boring.

(1+ hr decant) Nice, mild chianti, a good match with stuffed red peppers, better than previous bottle. 87+

Decent chianti, on a thiner side with good acidity but not very interesting. Improved slightly after a day or two in the bottle, showing more classic sangiovese cherries. 85-86

Past its peak - if you have any, drink it now if it is still drinkable. I poured half the bottle. At least it was only $9.

A solid house wine. Great with burgers or pizza.

Deep cherry fruit, integrated tannins and bright acidity - great with spaghetti and meatballs.

Light garnet in the glass, I can see my fingers. Nose isn't really exciting, candied fruit, almost syrupy, and some cedar. This is a light wine, sour cherries and some spice, then little hint of some tannic structure, but not much there. A little disjointed. Not unpleasant, but pretty simple. I wouldn't buy at $10. 2/5

Medium black red color; nice tart red fruit, red berry nose with a sense of sandalwood; tasty, tart red fruit, tart red berry palate with medium acidity, a solid effort; medium finish (only $11)

Great value for $10! Authentic cherry fruit, high acidity, herbal notes, and a slightly bitter finish. Not a big wine, nor overly complex, but refreshing, food-friendly, and just fun to drink. Thanks for the recommendation, Guido!

Usually my go to for cheap DOC chianti, but something was going on with these '07's....Can't put my finger on it, just off.
