Anderson's Conn Valley Library Tasting (Temecula, CA) : Silky tannins, harmonious flavors of currant, plum, cassis, licorice, sage, and tobacco. Fruit quality is not the same as the 2006 Conn Eloge, but this is drinking great. I would not hold on much longer.

Drank over two days. Bought the wine on a recommendation from Paul at Full Pull wines, as I was looking for a restrained winemaker from WA state. Poured dark red, medium weight with a full nose of dark cherries, brambles, and herbs. Very little oak, if any. The wine tasted of dark, dusty cherries, more herbs, a mineral streak and a bit of a sour note on the finish. Very varietally pronounced and rustic, but had a lithe elegance to …
