Last bottle of these—consistent with previous experiences. What a great QPR at $11. Great blend of earthy, tobacco, and dark fruit notes. A little bit lighter in the mouth than you'd perhaps get in a SuperTuscan at a little more $$, but this is solid for what it is, which is great value red for pizza, pasta, and red sauce with braised meats.

Nice art on the label (watercolour painting). 50% Sangiovese, 25% Cab, 25% Merlot. Definitely European in style. Colour is darkish. On the nose the Sangiovese is prominent. The taste is slightly pleasant and pleasantly dry, and a little better than expected. $16 a bottle. Overall value: 2.5 of 5 stars. Good (82.5).

I enjoyed this wine better this go around than I did on my last tasting about 18 months ago. Both the nose and pallet were more prominent and the finish longer on this tasting. Perhaps the bottle simply benefited from a little time in the cellar.

Consistent w/ previous note, but no confectionary fruit on the pop--just earthy soil notes and good fruit. Great food/pizza/pasta wine that's a great QPR and perfect with pizza.

Good everyday drinker! Will buy again, agreed that it would be a great one for entertaining large groups. Right after popping cork it is a little hot, it will simmer down after a little time. Decent fruit and surprisingly more muscle than I thought it would have.

Popped, decanted and began drinking immediately with lasagne. This wine started out acidic and disjointed but soon (about an hour) started to open up and relax. The acidity and sourness left and the fruit and tannins blended nicely. This was our last bottle but if we get more I would let decant it at least an hour before drinking. Started out in the low 80's but finished in the low 90's.

A fantastic food wine. It is lighter in body than I had expected, but that makes for easy drinking. The alcohol content is high, but well integrated. I'm looking forward to drinking it again, but I believe there are other wines just as good in the price range.

Medium ruby color. Nose opens up in 5-10 minutes to ambrosial black cherries and cranberries. Complexity in the palate evolves as leather and tannins step up, leading to a black tea/chocolate finish that is also mouth watering. Surprisingly light on its feet for so much energy, the sangiovese is not lost in this Super Tuscan. Paired nicely with spaghetti marinara. Excellent QPR.

WIML87 Tasted non blind at a wine tasting. Garnet color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose of berries, cherries and a hint of red currants. Flavors of berries, raspberries and Bing cherries. Medium acidity, medium tannin, medium body. Drink now.
