Bodegas Ramon Bilbao Rioja Single Vineyard

On the one hand a straightfoward young Rioja but on the other this always punches above its weight to deliver a fruit forward, very pleasant wine with a touch of earthiness a mineral zip and a longer finish that you'd expect. Consistent through vintages too. Quite 'modern' I suppose but has bags of character for a simple wine. No over oak, green or simply thin juice as many joven Riojas offer.
