This was brought to our home last night by a friend with a mutual birthday. I wasn't taking detailed notes, but my general assessment is that this is a very good cab with several more years in it. Past it’s drink-by date and it shows. Clearly not made to be aged. Purchased in ‘15 and properly cellared but this is fading quickly. Very raisiny at PNP, much better after one hour but then tops up and dies out. Drink up or be disappointed.

The wine has a nose of blackberries, boysenberries, white pepper, dried cherries, vanilla, and red clay, and leather. The tannins are well integrated -- bold; yet, not harsh. Deep ruby hue; heavy blackberry, vines, cedar and cigar box on the nose, fairly intense, in a good way; luscious black fruit, black pepper, black currant, cocoa and blueberry cobbler on the palette; long lingering aftertaste. Will definitely cellar for several more years.

Cherries, rhubarb, leather, white pepper, and chocolate make up the nose of this Cabernet. The tannins are very bold and smooth and the finish is long. The wine is drinking wonderful - it was a great clearance buy at the NH State Liquor Store a few years back. Black Knight’s Bill Foley did not disappoint with this vintage and blend.

Decanted about an hour. Deep ruby color. Black cherry and oak on the nose. Expect this to be a little hot. Med acid, med plus alcohol, black cherry and cocoa coupled with still firm tannins. Long finish. Drink dates indicate wheelhouse is now but I think I need to leave my last bottle for a few more years and see.

Cherries , leather, oak barrel, blackberries, boysenberry, pepper, and vanilla make up the nose of this bottle now stored 10 years. The tannins are super robust and the finish is long on the palate. It’s very good; yet could still use some mellowing in the bottle.

Not as structured as I'd hope for. Falls down at the end. A bit mediciney. Wondering if it turned during a winter cross country move?

Much improved since the last bottle in 2015. Medium body. Delicious aroma. Nice finish. Probably at the end of it's aging potential. On opening was delicious. Not much air time needed. The next day it had lost its finer qualities. Pop, pour and drink it up.

Yet another great bottle of Napa cabernet, Dark, concentrated fruits of cassis and cherry with graphite, oak, spice and earth. Big and muscular, but not harsh and with a firm structure, lush mouthfeel and a firm structure. Drank alongside a Far Niente cab and a Blackbird blend and it held its own, but with a bit less elegance and complexity. Great wine for the $.

James Laube of WineSpectator must have either had a bad bottle, or was mistaken about what he was drinking as he scored it 86 and 82 -- which I say is complete nonsense! Not much on the nose, but on the palate it is almost fruit-forward with ripe cassis & cherry, oak and a bit of earthiness - along with licorice and tobacco after an hour or so.
