Wines of the Jura Tasting (Labet, Tournelle, Puffeney, Tissot) (Arlequin Wine Merchant, San Francisco, California) : Light golden yellow color; very oxidative, dry sherry, mineral, VA nose; tasty, oxidative, sherry, baked lemon, mineral, Meyer lemon palate; long finish 91+ pts.

Showing some walnut skin and oxidized character with a solid minerally, salty, acidic core and a vibrant finish. I do like the movement of those flor-like notes up front and the crispness of the finish. I was expecing more sous voile intensity intensity.

sfwine: Wines of the Jura (San Francisco) : Puffeney's Cuvée Sacha is a blend of sous-voile savagnin and ouillé chardonnay: SaCha. Aromatically, there's some inobtrusive VA, plus intensely saline minerality with a moderately nutty character. Really nice and snappy in the mouth, with fresh, vibrant pear on the palate. Love the interplay here between the nutty, oxidized savagnin and the fresh, crisp, citric chardonnay. Long. I preferred this to either of the ouillé whites. Update: This is still drinking well …
