Still holding comfortably. Fresh notes of fennel and lemon curd. A touch of quince and yellow fruit development. Rich and slatey, minerals, citrus and honeycomb in a long wine with old fashioned phenolic grip . Impressive again !

In scintillating form. Beautifully preserved under screwcap, with a gentle whiff of petrol and toast the only indicators of a wine this old. It is floral and full, with a note of honeysuckle and rainwater like purity. It has great cut and is extremely long.

Lovely fennel and green herb infused yellow citrus fruits. Starts golden fruited and round then is driven with a good linear focus completing with gentle phenolics and spirit. A developed sweetness and honey note add good interest . Holding fine. An expression of old fashioned Riesling that takes you to pioneering and settlement days of Barossa yesteryear !

Gentle , clean aromatics of white flowers, ginger and lemon pastille. Unpretentious in a medium to full body, driving an exceptionally crisp and clean expression on the palate where the finish shows a fine phenolic grip, balancing the long acidity.

(Schweinshaxe2 w Uncle Richard, Aunty Arouny, et al @Zellini's) Honey, inky floral, honeysuckle, preserved lemon. Hessian sack, creamy white florals. Developed, and interesting.

(MidWinter Brunner:Truffles+Wagyu+TextBookWines) Oily nose, citrus with classic aged notes, toasted almonds and hint bandaid. Smokey clean limes, with some green stems, macdonald pickles, savoury pickled lemons. Expressive and still very much in transition, might try again in 5 years when it settles.

Pleasant (very) but on the fade. Soft old kero and lemon fruits (some bitter) but mild and lacks intensity. For a softer style I won't be complaining given this is a 7yr old. Will be happy to buy more recent vintages.

Probably just a bit flat ad mature as a 7yr old from EV. Nothing wrong with this at all however; old lemon, soft honey ad some daggy wet wool notes. Some spice as well. Finishes rather short. Won't need to be kept for much longer.

An excellent riesling. $18.50 at the cellar door. Can cellar at least 10 years. Everything these guys make is very good to excellent. Now owned by Yalumba.
