4th Saturday Brown Bagger (R&D's) : Blind. Excellent. Deep inky opaque color with aromas of black currant, violets, coffee and mocha. Fine, elegant tannins support abundant black cabernet fruit, along with black cherry, chocolate, herbs and mineral. Long finish. Elegant. Beautiful. This had been double decanted off its sediment about 3 hours before service.

I wasn't planning to comment on this wine, but it was so good I felt I had to leave a note for others. This is a Napa Cab that hits right down the center of the fairway with typical cabernet notes and loads of concentration. We enjoyed it with pork in a dark gravy and it was good but it would have been better with a steak, and worthy of a steak. It also went well with the lava chocolate …
