Ikeda Koshu

Apart from the Ikeda Blanc (the simple everyday white made from 2nd pressings of the white grapes) this is the entry level white of the winery. Aged for 2-3 months in old neutral 280-liter barrels. Neutral, almost completely colorless limpid yellow color. Quite restrained, subtly fruity nose with aromas of ripe apples and apple blossom. The wine feels relatively light-bodied and ripe on the palate with flavors of sweet yellow apples and some white peach. Modest to medium in acidity. …
