This is perfectly in its drinking window. Drank and decanted over an hour, but it's ready to go. Lots of dark blue fruit, blackberries, dark plum, along with some dark cherries. Slight herbal notes as well. Tannins and acidity very balanced. This is drinking perfectly well on its own, but could probably go well with food. I think this wine can go on a while, no tertiary elements yet. 92 points.

Wine was a little tight and a bit closed on opening. After an hour of air, did display a promising backbone of fruit and fairly mellow tannins. Delicious for sure, but this particular bottle seemed to be in an early stage of maturity. I'll earmark my last bottle for 2026+

incredible wine. Decanted for an hour, and drank slowly through out the night. After 17 years, it still has life to go too!! Cheers

I like this wine but it needs time. A bit powdery tannins at the moment and not as expressive as the others. Maybe a touch of alcohol on the nose coming through.

Difference of opinion between me and the Mrs. She didn’t like the palate taste or the finish, where by I enjoyed the flavor, yet wasn’t the best for a P&P. Drink

Wow. Gift from a friend. I had never heard of this wine. 30 minutes in the decanter. Milk chocolate covered black cherry dominates. Almost like dessert but not nearly that sweet. Dense velvety smoothness that reminds me of some Napa wines at $400+. Hints of cedar, dried herbs, Vanilla Oak, and black raspberries. 30 second finish. Bottle had maybe a 1/2 teaspoon of fine sediment.

This is a very good wine if you are into the Napa modern style - sweet dark cherry, licorice, graphite. Not overdone, not overblown, just naturally big.

I agree with Galloni: "The 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon has developed beautifully since I last tasted it this past Spring. Savory herbs meld into sweet red berries, leather, tobacco and cedar. Today the 2011 is distinctly salty and vibrant on the palate, with superb energy, focus and delineation. There is a creaminess and pure texture to the fruit that is hugely appealing. The 2011 will drink well early, but it should also develop beautifully in bottle. In 2011, the Casa Piena …

Very green. Fair bit of fruit underneath but the green (which to be fair is more herbal than unripe) makes it hard to fully appreciate.

The 2011 vintage shows here. Green vegetal notes persist. This is a deep wine. Can prove me wrong in the future. But compared to past vintages, this just doesn't hold up.

Thomas Rivers Brown is the winemaker. He makes Round Pond, and Schrader. 100% Cabernet. A particularly good valley floor vineyard, I am told. From a single 9 acre vineyard in Yountville, that used to go in to BV George Latour. DEEP color. Rich fruit aromas. Sweeter fruit, some black olive. Tar, a touch of smoke. Wonderful concentration for a 2011, one of the best '11s that I've had. a little earthy/leafy edge. Doesn’t suck.

At CarneVino in Vegas. Spent 20-30 minutes in decanter; drank over 1.5 hours. This is amazing juice. Inky purple. Alluring nose with everything you want in a Napa cab. Notes of graphite and pencil shavings to go with the red and purple fruits. Lovely balance and a finish that was super smooth but also substantial enough to hold up to the ribeye we had for dinner. No reason to wait; this is in a prime window right now.

- Garnet color with slow forming legs and aromas of smokey and black pepper. It's balanced and has flavours of blackberry and mushroom with a medium/full body. Satin-Like texture with a medium finish - it has had a enough time, i get a little dust, just a little oak, it work well with a Michael Symon Broiled Porterhouse with Roasted Garlic oregano and lemon, smooth tannins, deep and rich ,

Dujac, Conterno, Casa Piena, Realm, SQN, Saxum (WSWOTY), Clos Mimi (Dante's) : My first time trying this wine. My wife liked it far more than I. It is solid and very good. At $40, I might be a buyer (its about 3 times that). Cassis, and some earth. Made in a more feminine style. It does have a nice delicacy and worked well with the food.
