Medium to dark purple with minimal garnet. Earthy raspberry and spice with leather and tobacco. Palate is blackberry and raspberry with the bright fruit early and the dark fruit late. Very well balanced acid and tannins for a very long finish. Amazing for a IGT. I think you could hold for another couple years.

Retailer tasting (Vianen) : Beautiful bouquet with red berry fruits and good spiciness. Same on the palate, fine acidity and slightly sticky tannin. Ready now and the next few years.

Taste with Wildman at FHE. Elegant, understated leather, anise, red tar. Again, both New and Old World elements showing here. Absolutely Italian but some uber ripe qualities that prove to be enjoyable in this bottling.
