Bold and rich. Opened up after a few hours with rich velvety notes of anise and plum. Garnet to inky in color. The legs are slow. There is light sediment in the bottle. It smells like black currant (cassis), clove, blackberry and prune. It tastes like blackberry, black currant (cassis), plum and anise after decanting. Full bodied with a leathery texture. Long finish with medium acidity.
