I let this age longer than most others, not by plan. Lots of dark berries. Good to drink every once in a while but certainly not too often.

86-87. Almost exact notes from last bottle. Lots of cool climate leather and hint of citrus. MUCH, MUCH more sophisticated than the sister Rolling Shiraz.

86-87. highly underrated. This cooler climate leathery shiraz as a nice change from the syrupy Barrossa shirazes. This had leather, orange marmalade, and a bit of structure with understated fruit. held up well over a few nights without oxidizing. More serious than it gets credit for, but certainly not excellent. Outstanding at sub $8.

Not bad for a screw-top. It was better after it opened up a bit.

On a business trip and purchased in a Kroger while grabbing dinner (wanted a screw top). Very unimpressive, very hot, fruits are there but nothing to talk about. Probably should have bought beer, or get a corkscrew and get the Penfolds that was next to it.

Very disappointing QPR at $17. Nothing interesting at all about this wine. It would be good at $7.

Monthly Tasting Group HWS #020; Australia: Shiraz. (By PdVr) : Deep purple. Bouquet fresh, some acidity, spicy, pepper and milky. A lot of wood and soft bitterness, cherries. Full bodied and a little sweet in the aftertaste. I am not sure about this wine. Is the use of wood too excessive? The acidity might imply that this wine needs some ageing, but I am not sure if the wine will benefit.
