Some years further on, it's a bit softer, but still very fruity. It has gained something of a Bordeaux like aspect, as some Douro wines do. Very much appreciated by my guests.

Brooding dark fruits, garrigues, furniture polish on mahogany. The palate has ripe black fruit, still primary as you’d expect from a young wine but after half an hour in the decanter the tannins are very soft and the wine has got a nice balance of fruit and acidity. For the price this lacks a little complexity which I’m sure will come with age.

Beaucoup de fruits au nez. En bouche, c est le fruit qui domine, legere note d aciditè. Bien fait.

Young, a bit big and brash, but fairly decent nonetheless. The nose was very modern, with notes of oak and spice and glycerol swirling around a core a ripe purple fruit. The palate had a similarly ripe fullness to it, this time with plenty of plump blue and black berries, some sweet cherries, but all coming into balance in a much better way than I would have expected after that glycerol-laden nose, with a nice burst of juicy acidity and …

Deep purple with intense developing aromas of black cherry, red plum, cedar, vanilla, earth as well as hanged meat. Medium bodied with a vibrant acidity, furry tannin as well as a long lingering finale. Due to its powerful structure this wine pairs nicely with BBQ red meat and hefty stews. Serve at room temperature, 17-18°C in a Bordeaux Red Wine Glass.

Vinho encorpado, macio, tons a terra, madeira, baunilha e frutos silvestres. Final longo e complexo. Para resumir: um Callabriga como estamos habituados! (Oak, vanilla, red fruit)

Simple and balanced. Not strong tannin and medium weight for this young wine. Very good to pair with chicken or fish.

Hedonistic sweet brambly/raspberry fruit, open expansive nose, dark, concentrated long. Tannic structure still present but nicely balanced. This is not what you'd call serious wine, but it is just so joyous and delicious. It is interesting that it has developed pretty quickly like this. I tried a bottle 18 months ago, and it was still rather closed in and disjointed. It is intentionally the next one down from Qta da Leda for drinking earlier, but when I had it last …

Medium intense ruby coloured with distinct aromas of black cherries, leather as well as black currant. Medium to full bodied and well balanced with very present tannin.

Oak and plum, even blueberry when first opened. Some earthy notes, but still primary. Low alcohol...almost like an old world Zinfandel.

Black fruits and spice box plus violets. The palate is quite ripe with blackcurrant and blueberry fruit, medium weight, a little weak on the finish. Lacks backbone and for the price you'd expect more.

2016 Port Harvest Tour; 9/18/2016-9/25/2016 (Portugal) : Classical red fruits on the nose with herbal notes underneath. Smoky notes with bing cherry and dusty tannins. Nice long finish with good balance. This would be a great BBQ wine!

at first very closed, tannic, and quite frankly very generic red wine tasting. Decided to give it some air.... after 3 hours air time in glass..... some blackberries and perhaps a bit of mint on the nose. Also a hint of lip balm. somewhat light when it first hits the mouth, blackberries, almost sweet fruit. then some interesting things happen.... the tannins kick in a bit on the mid palate with flavors of eucalyptus, tea leaves, and plum. dried cherries, …
