As one peers into the inky black colored depths of this wine with purple halos you are immediately met with waves of tobacco, tar, licorice, black pepper, oak, espresso coffee, roasted meat, blackberry, cassis, plum, and herb. The mouth on this full bodied wine is rich, lovely, and concentrated with blackberry, cassis, roasted meat, plum, lovely integrated tannin, and herb. Delicious. Rich and complex, lasted for a few hours but started to fade after 5 hours or so.

Excellent, fruit forward shiraz. Big nose and flavor, from start to finish. Seems to be at it's peak, but looks like it could stay here for a while.

Great big bottle of shiraz. Big bouqet, not overly alchoholic, but still with great fullness. Not sure about "peak", as this was my first taste, but certainly drinking VERY well.

Very dark purple. Forrest fruit. Roasted oak. Espresso lingering on. A lot more characther than other Carmel premium wines, which have a nice subtle vanilla/oak overlay but lack some spine.

Dark ruby-purple, nose of crushed berries, white flowers and vanilla. On the palate it is a little flabby, with that sur-ripeness so typical of Galilee wines, though not overly sweet. Slightly bitter finish with medium tannins. Not a bad effort but this wine could have benefited from less oak.
