bottle number 77437. medium garnet colour. fully developed and still expressive. leather, mushrooms and dust form a base from which cooked and dried cherry, plum, blackberry and raspberry emerge, mingling with savoury herbs and exotic spices. with medium body, plus acidity and mostly resolved tannins, the fruit unfolds in translucent layers that have a balsamic quality. still has very good complexity, but fades in the finish. agree with other notes that it's time to drink up… 13.5% AbV.

Really dark fruited. Espresso, blackberry, tar, leather. One of the “darkest” CdP’s I have ever had. A little hot. Tannins still evident. Will go years if the alcohol doesn’t eat all the fruit.

Drinking very well. Very smooth and mature CDP. The drinking window to 2020 is incorrect. I would say this wine will last to 2030 anyway. Given that there are over 500 bottles still in Cellartracker inventory others would agree this wine is far from done.

Better than a year ago, old-school Neuf, funky, tertiary notes of smoke, garrigue, dusty fruit. Mature wine, interesting and complex, ready to go, ready to be drunk up.

I just love this wine. Drinking it last night reminded me why I have been collecting wine all these decades, every now and again I have a superb experience as I did with the 2010 Bosquet. Brought up from cellar temperature and still cool when we started drinking after an hour in the decanter. It’s not a blockbuster, and it’s mid price point for a CNdP. The year is overshadowed by 2007. But it is just superb. Everything you would …

It was a nice drinking experience but likely at the end of the drinkable age. Enough fruits left with minimal tannins

Tasted after a 30 minute decant. Dark ruby in colour with somewhat restrained aromas of liquorice & chocolate and a hint of tar. On the palate, full bodied tart & juicy, black fruit, blackberry/cassis, garrigue, floral/ lavender, hint tar/asphalt, high acidity, high soft tannins with a long finish to black pepper & chocolate. Fruit is still present with excellent tertiary flavours. This wine is still lively & fresh & has aged beautifully! Still excellent flavour & structure on night #2!

This bottle was in great condition (cork was perfect) and drinking much better than the average score on CT. Not super powerful or concentrated (or over ripe) like a lot of 07 CNP's but in a beautiful drinking window. An elegant CNP with teritiary characters on full display, tannins fully resolved.

Fully mature now and on sous-bois, iodine, band aid notes. The fruit is dusty, largely gone, and there is marks of pine and a bit of VA on the palate. Time to drink up, and drink up fast.

Nice, uncomplicated grenache fruit, fresh but a bit tannic still. Could do with a few more years. First bottle of a case of 6.

This is quite good for base level CdP. Hard to call 90 or 91 points but I give the benefit based on 30 bucks paid. It has classic CdP flavors and plenty of structure to go a few more years if you want to test it. Very enjoyable wine.

Aging much better than I expected. The color is browning, and the wine is on tertiary notes, but one senses dusty cherry fruit as well, along with Provençal spices. This is well structured, cool and upright and provides interest. Excellent with roasted lamb.

Sweet fennel, raspberry, thyme, rosemary, sandalwood, lifted finish, very structured. Classic cdNP. Long, floral (violets) srurdy, caramelised meatiness, stunning nose. This is very impressive. While it is clearly showing some tertiary notes, it is still an adolescent (at best). Another Three years wouldn’t go amiss.

Good colour. Little nose and fruit a bit dried out and astringent. This never changed so rather think it has had its day if it ever did. 15% seems a bit bonkers do wonder how well balanced it was. having said that the acidity was not bad.

As good as it's going to get, no need to hold. Didn't decant, (i). I don't think it needs it if you pour carefully (ii). this needs to be drunk on the cooler side to reduce the "jam" and "heat", I always struggle to get the right temperature after decanting. Otherwise a nice drink..good example of a mature CNDP.

Drank at 632 with Blanco. No decant. Cherries and leather on the nose. Color is noticeably browning showing its age appropriately. Light to medium body, still good amount of red fruit showing on the palate. Many tertiary elements: leather, garrigue, earth and some spice. Good acidity. Nice finish. Fine example of an aged CdP.

92 pts

Beautiful expression of a Grenache- dominant CNdP (rich and developed, with a very firm and slightly rustic tannic backbone. Gamey raspberries, leather and earth, fried thyme, caramelised nuances, full bodied. Lots of coating on the bottle, although not too much fine sediment. Drinking beautifully in early- mid maturity. Absolutely no hurry on this. 92+

Decanted 2½ hrs. Dark red, brown edge. Large bq w plenty of dark fruit (cherries) w jammy overtones, sous-bois, spices. Full bodied w plenty of acidity, powerful, rounded tannins, fruit still fresh. Aftertaste dominated by alcohol, but under that you find a fairly long, fruity and balanced aftertaste with nice acidity. Will last longer, but won't get any better. Pity about the alcohol, though......

very much a middle of the road CdP, in the best way... it's got rustic charm but modern accessibility and fruit forwardness. nose has got all kinds of attractive meaty, savoury, dusty herbal characteristics but ample fruit as well, with cherry and dark berry jam. palate is full, round and supple. nice balanced mouth feel. acidity keeping it fresh and nicely integrated tannins hold on a long finish with a nice minty note.

From magnum meaty and full, highly aromatic, a hair reductive on the pop, plenty of life left but some tertiary character showing. In the early part of the prime window, but of course the magnum slows development. If you like quality CdP with bluer fruit, licorice, and power this is a good choice.

A decent enough bottle of CNdP, but I found it too oakey and fiery. That said, the wine was mature and did not lack complexity. I found ripe blackberrys, plums, chocolate and some garrigue on the palate, but the nose was too marked with oak. However, If you like oakey wines , this might be right up your alley. No rush though, this will hold up just fine for several years yet.

sb Fairly deep garnet, not quite crystal clear. Woodywalnut nose Sweet cherry flavors, but rather bitter tannic finish. Notes from 4 and 6 years ago were quite fruit forward, big and charming. Now this is a bit tough, but still fine. At this point it seems kind of timeless, in a rustic tough sort of way. Drink now or hold potentially for a while. YFS

Same btl as R&Rler tonight. A very pleasant surprise! This basic cuvee combined with the balance of 2010 actually harkens back to days gone by when CDP still showed balance & terroir. It has a sort of rusticity that never gets out of hand with some intriguing leather notes, earth, red fruit, spice and garrigue. And while the alc still weighs in at 14.5 it goes relatively unnoticed within the context of overall excellent balance. Not going to run out …

A New Beginning (Craig & Nita's Place) : Dark red color. Drank a small glass over 45 minutes. Wasn't really taking any notes at this point. This came off as a traditional, restrained and slightly rustic CdP. Dark red cherry fruits, garrigue, dried herbs, olive, dusty tannins.

Textbook CdP in a medium bodied (for CdP) format at 14.5%. Classic spice and fruit on the nose, with a hint of maturity. Similar on the palate, with a beam of raspberry fruit cutting through the spice and hint of maturity. While the fruit and acidity suggests this will hold a few years longer, I would suggest drinking soon. Threw a bit of sediment. Last of my 2010s, can't wait to try the 2015s in the cellar.

I went in with such low expectations that this actually exceeded them. This was the last of 4 btls from the hot 2007 CdP vintage. PNP in Burg glasses and slow oxed in glasses & Btl for 2-1/2 hours prior to dinner. This felt less over "the top tonight" with mellow fruit and the texture feeling less jammy than it has. My last bottle and I am increasingly convinced the 2001 are some of the best in the last 2 decades. The nose was just classic and beautiful. Garrigue and spicey and lovely waft of cherry fruit. Unfortunately, the palate did not follow suit. Nevertheless, it was still a great experience. Drink now. I should say it was still good on day 2.

Too bad the 14.5% alc and overripe vintage all but wipe out the positives of excellent garrique and tertiary maturity. For a brief while tonight there was some intriguing damp forest floor but eventually, the over the top, alc and lower than normal acidity ruled the day. In a more balanced vintage or even a less ripe, supposed "off vintage", this might be quite good.
