Revisiting this wine, some two months later, I think I now have a much better handle on it. This is still a very young wine, and right now it needs about 40 minutes in the glass or in a decanter to be at its best. When the bottle was first opened, there was a blast of smoke and tannins that distorted the wine, but, fortunately, the smoke quickly faded and the tannins became much gentler. Then blackberries, blueberries, licorice, cocoa, …

30 minute decant. Dusty black raspberry and vanilla on the nose. Nervy palate delivers dark chocolate, black currant, and oregano wrapped in a tight package. Oaky finish with dry tacky tannins, black fig, and black olive. 90+ points

Pnp. Medium ruby-purple in colour. Nose of blackberries, crushed purple fruits, some black cherries, with some chocolate and violets. On the palate, there are some semi-jammy black and blue fruits with black peppers are dominant; chalky tannins. Medium bodied with a medium finish.

Immediately after opening, flowers, blueberries, and licorice, followed by a medium-long aftertaste. After about 20 minutes in the glass, chocolate joined in and the aftertaste lengthened. Significant, but gentle, tannins. [Tasted over more than an hour from the Jancis Robinson glass.] Previously tasted 11/19/25 and 11/7/25. This is slightly different from the scores and descriptions I gave this wine in the earlier tastings--I am not sure whether the difference is in me or in the wine or some combination of …

Unlike the bottle of 11/7/25, this was very enjoyable from the moment it was opened, with black plums, raspberries, and sweet dark chocolate, followed by a long and somewhat tannic aftertaste. Even better after 15 minutes in the glass--same description but more vivid and intense. Licorice and a hint of pomegranate joined in after not quite an hour in the glass, and blueberries and smoke made an appearance after maybe 2 hours in the glass. {Tasted over 3 hours from …

Easy to drink and a great QPR. Classic PS, except for no sour notes. Would definitely buy again.

Immediately after opening, tannins overwhelmed the wine, but after half an hour in the glass this was very enjoyable, and it was even better after an hour--black plums, blueberry jam, incense, oranges (more obvious early on), milk chocolate, and licorice, followed by a lovely, powerful, and remarkably long aftertaste ending on a note of tannins and cocoa. This is a big, flamboyant wine and it gives a lot of pleasure. [Tasted over more than two and a quarter hours from …
