The kid with its hand raised. This wine was in a big damn hurry to be consumed. When we pulled it from the cellar, the cork had somehow voluntarily worked its way about half out of the bottle. No leakage, no explanation. Just urgency, and confusion. It’s the wine equivalent of the kid in class squirming in their seat with their hand raised, urgently whisper-shouting, “Me! Dark red rose with no visual signs of age, except for sparkling tartaric acid on the cork. Cool cherries on the nose. Moderate acidity and toned down fruit, yet expressive in it’s distinctive dried strawberry palate as well as fine and subtle tannins that linger on the tongue. Arrowroots and mild spice nuances give a good finish and structure in the mouth.

Warmer style than the 2019s we tasted, more fruit and bit less elegance, but still very energetic.
