Eieio, E Pinot Noir, Willamette Valley

Definitely in prime drinking window.

I was really surprised with how well this showed. Bright red fruits, but exceptionally balanced. Long finish. Served blind to a few experienced tasters who guessed 1er Burgundy.

A bit past and acidic but softened after opening.

This is getting bigger and bigger every year it cellars. Adding weight and complexity.

A great old world style Pinot from Oregon. Earthy nose and driven by darker fruit than you might expect. Balance is the beauty here, along with a seductive finish.

I liked this better than the '07, however it should be noted that this wine was in a shipment that got cooked in a 100+ degree UPS truck for three days. Quite earthy, with good midpalate fruit notes. Mushroom, forest floor prevail.

Remarkable Burgundian style Pinot. Earthy nose and palate, supported by great fruit. This is quite a bit different than most Oregon Pinots. Lovely pairing with Tuscan Chicken Ravioli with a Mushroom Cream Sauce.

Drinking as beautiful if not better than a year ago. A nose of earthy mushroom that brings me back to a place where I first discovered this wine. The closest thing I have ever tasted to Burgundy from the US.

I love this wine! I was first introduced to this winery when we visited the Willamette Valley this past Summer. A Bed and Breakfast French chef/ owner favored us with a 375ml as a recommendation/welcoming gift. It was outstanding then and it is outstanding now. Very earthy, mushroom, and deep red fruit on the nose. Balance is wonderful, with just the slightest bit of heat on the finish. This is more of a comment on the vintage, than the winemaker. …

Smells like funky OPN, musty dark cherries, strawberry. Smells really tasty. The palate is pretty tight, very fresh cranberry and tart red fruit. Tart acids and firm, slightly chalky tannin show strongly. Great intensity though, dances in the mouth with great mid-weight and good integration of flavor/structure. Needs time or a lot of air, this was a pop-n-pour. 88+ I will likely buy a bottle or two, shows upward promise.

This shit smells dope. Huge dark fruits on the nose, figs, dark cherries, raisins. Taste is still pretty tight with dominant tannins and a bit of a roughness, but this will get awesome in 2-3 years.
