Medium ruby in glass, lighter at rim. Licorice, winter spice and barnyard on nose. Firm palate, but lacks fruit and shows hardly any secondary notes. Medium bodied, short finish. OK, for Long Island.

Impressive for a pinot noir from New York state. Good nose and nice pinot fruit. A bit heavy on the oak but perhaps it will integrate in time. Solid effort.
