Straw yellow. Initially reticent nose with a hint of citrus. Then exotic fruits as the wine warmed up. Low key flavors but a distinct blend of citrus and ripe exotic fruit with wet stones gradually building as the medium length finish. I suspect that with more bottle age wet stone will become the dominant component and the finish will grow in length and intensity.

In pouring and from a distance, this is unbelievable with tropical coconut and mango. Up close, it starts tight and evolves into the same scents. Nice concentration, good chalky acidity, long potential.

young, fresh, apple. Light body... you might mistake this for Chablis. Improves as it gets air and because it's from Rapet, it may improve until it is the age of majority. I must hide the last couple bottles.

Delicious, light, still showing some oak.

This btl despite its light gold color had just a bit of emerging pre-mox. Certainly drinkable but it detracted from its merits. Very stony and also a bit clipped in the finish. Thankfully, only a single exploratory btl from my reg online store.

Pale yellow. Caramel, anise nose. Quite expressive in the mouth with a roundness, apple pie flavours lemon rind. Long and refreshing. An impressive wine from the climat not too many have heard of! Delicious today and until its 10th birthday, at least.

Tropical and a fair amount of new oak. Some decent weight and tart fruit. Very enjoyable and look forward to seeing how it ages.

Lots of sweet pear fruit. The oak is quite prominent in this bottle tonight, considerably more so than the delic 2015 Rapet Corton Charlemagne drunk alongside.

Aromas of lemon, wet stone, mineral and star fruit. Flavors of lemon oil, mineral, slight vanilla and slate. Ends with a long finish of 20-25 seconds with lemon and mineral notes. This is quite a nice wine and has a nice subtlety to it.

Excellent as usual...A tasty bottle! The Pernand- Vergelesses area provides much better value chardonnay than the Corton Charlemagne from any producer. Great acidity, fruit flavours, length consumed with gusto!

Very respectable wine, perhaps not really at the 1er Cru level, but pleasing if a high heavy on the acid/acetone notes.

Apples and flowers, good concentration. Grippy acidity. Paired nicely with grilled wild salmon.

slight acetone nose, moderate acidity,, good length. A biscuit flavour that lingers then the citrus fruit dominates The wine seems flat like a soda that has lost it's fizz!!! Maybe an off day for me and white wine!

Ripe, soft. Agrume, mineral. Not quite what I remembered, kind of short on structure, or maybe its me.

Warm toned lemon notes with some walnut oil. Slight reduction but blew off quickly. Balanced acidity, nice wine but not compelling enough to re-buy

Captivating nose of apple, apple candy and gun smoke. Bright, fresh appley fruit in a serious structure. So good now but will last several years.
