Camaraderie Cellars Viognier Crawford Vineyards

By rights this should be over-the-hill, but I'll never be deterred! A pale yellow in the glass, the nose features an enchanting mix of violets, petrol and tarragon. Though it may have lost some fruit since I first tasted and purchased 3 years ago, the palate today features a toasty (it is barrel-fermented) melange of floral notes, petrol, steel and aged Meyer lemon. Very compelling, and perhaps oysters would be the best match for this, but then again...
