I admit that I am on a crusade to promote the wine of Cahors. It seldom fails to please and (almost) always manages to tick all my boxes. In my opinion the Cedre Heritage punches well above its weight (I'd love to try their top of the line wine some time - it must be spectacular). Opened half an hour prior to drinking and decanted directly into a glass. Fabulous nose full of promise and an immediate shot of liquorice/anise …

Dark ruby red, some earthy aroma, great over 3 days with tannins definitely quieting down on day 2 and 3. Enjoyed with salmon and french onion soup. From Finewine in McLean.
