S: inky grape jam nose; taste is incredibly silky chocolate fruit but restrained; faint pepper. R: smells of bbq sauce and hickory smoke; delicate body, a dance of tannic sharpness and alcohol warmth. Teriyaki and Jalapeño, finishes tarry and cassis. Pair with bbq chicken and sweet potato fries. Very little seasoning. We had different glasses and it changed a lot depending on the stemware.

Not a Merlot fan, but this one was pretty special. Combination of red/black fruit flavors, very smooth and great finish. Very easy to sip on enjoy. Group loved it.

A bit unusual but quite exceptional. Not a hint of anything herbal (like many warm climate merlots) but really bright blue fruits with nice oak and smoke notes and a bright dark berry, almost petite sirrah like quality that is just delicious. Wish I had another to try in a year.

What's not to like. Nice Black and blue fruit, a little leather, and some earth & minerality. Very nice acidity that held up to spaghetti with meat sauce. Pleasantly surprised. Nice job TJ!
