Tasting Ground seminar, Chenin Blanc & Assyrtiko (Mr Vertigo office) : The wine shows more fruit than Cuvee flame, more open, green apple, pear, there is a flinty note here too, some rubbery hints. Palate with more body, rich fruit, high carbonation, citrus, high acidity, mineral

2016 vintage purchased from Yiannis Wine Shop in VA beach. Pale platinum body with very fine bubbles. Nose is lighter than I remembered, clean citrus, mineral but no berry fruits. Palate has rich flavors of honey, pear with well balanced acidity and bubbly mousse. The bubbles become creamy and release more crushed sea shell minerality, lemon and salinity. This would be a dream with raw oysters. It works with spiced cake dessert as well, accommodating the dry spices and showing …

The wine shows low to medium intensity, red small fruits, cherry, floral notes, quite evident residual sugar, medium acidity, very light palate, the fruit is riper, medium finish

Light gold, fine bubbles, soft nose of lemon, green apple and pear. Similar palate. Fantastically balanced sparkler with great minerality, acid and just a hint of sweetness. Even has a slight brininess rounding the palate that compliments all kinds of Mediterranean dishes with capers, herbs or olives. On sale at the winery in Santorini for about $23 and well worth it. If tasting blind could be convinced this costs 2-3 times that.

Very nice Greek sparkler, have visited this winery several times and missed this gem. Pale yellow in the glass, soft bubbles, balanced palate with bright acidity, note of baked yeastiness, green apple, underripe pear and citrus, long finish.

Clean nose with brioche, wax, and citrus fruit. Mousse is a little bit aggressive. Some residual sweetness balances acidity. Overall a very satisfying sparkling wine.

Light yellow-green. Aggressive sparkling, big bubbles, no cordon. Yeasty nose with assyrtiko minerality and citrus fruit. Medium-bodied, low to moderate fruit, med+ acidity and a rather short aftertaste. An ambitious effort to produce a methode champenoise sparkling from Greece's most acclaimed white grape variety with limited success. High price (€24 per bottle in the local market) and the second assyrtiko sparkling I taste after Matamis.
