10 year old cab franc from Sonoma. This wine has aged extremely well. I have read the comment "classic". This is the exact word I would use to describe this wine. Great balance; fruit, tannin, acid. I love the graphite note that seems to only come from a high end cab/cab franc. Much better than its' tariff.

This was a perfect, classic cabernet. Ready to drink. Still good structure; could have lasted another couple years. Rich, balanced fruit with oak. Nose of earth and tobacco. Wish we had more!

Tannins softening but still quite prominent - this needs more time or lots of air. Black fruit with only hints of bell pepper. Juicy, delicious, long.

Loved this last bottle. Classic, complex.

Decent tannin structure and somewhat enjoyable but not that interesting to me. I prefer more vegetal characteristics in my Cab Franc. I took this to a party and that's probably what I will do with the second bottle as well as I think that's the right environment for it.

Bought 4 bottles some time ago and have been waiting for a little more time in the bottle based on other comments. It is still a bit hot but not annoying. Medium purple with dark fruits and soft tannins. Like the dryness of this wine. Glad I have 3 more bottles to give a little more time.

Very tasty. Good fruit. Still quite tannic. I found this to be very enjoyable, the one detraction being that the alcohol was a bit high.

Coming back to write about this wine after a few days. Very fruit driven and enjoyable the first day. Lost its' way the second. But redeemed itself the third day with a complexity of flavors and spices that had not been evident the first two days. Good balance as well. I think this wine deserves a point higher based on the last day.

Same as the previous bottle. Terrific wine with a rare t-bone stake. My last bottle, but I will seek more.

Outstanding. Great deep ruby color. Dark fruit, plum, black current. Long finish. Did I mention it is excellent?

Decanted for an hour. Gorgeous dark red color in the decanter. Aroma of red currant, blueberry jam, plums. Good acidity and fruit, solid but not overpowering tannins. Good finish. A bit hot but it is 15.5% ABV so that was expected. Very good wine.

Still quite tannic - needs a few more years in the bottle. Very nice fruit, with prominent blackcurrant and black berries.

Very nice bottle. Good fruit and nice finish. Just a little too hot for me right now. With some time that should blow off.

Deep red color. Slow-O for 90 minutes. Dark fruits and damp earth on the nose. All cherries and cranberries in the mouth. Tannins are quite strong, and the finish is short. Agree that there's none of the green notes common with CF. Also none of the smokiness I love so much. May mellow with time but I don't think it has the components to improve.

Nice wine. This needs air. It is a bit simple and reserved upon open and shows too much alcohol. That said, I like St. Francis b/c the wines are dry and even with the ripe fruit, there is balance here in the dry personality and more acidity than you would expect given the ABV. Upon open 88, after air 90. Probably not a ton of upside. Not hugely complex, but enjoyable. Even better with more air. Chalky tannins and better balance. …

Excellent wine. We thouroughly enjoyed this one. Bottle didn't live for a second day. Decanted for about an hour but even on initial opening, it was good. Very good jam, cherry notes. A dry finish, but not unpleasantly so. A relatively light wine. Excellent wine for the price I paid.

Excellent franc. No green hints that sometimes accompany franc. Strong tannins. Great for the price.

It tasted young, but it had full body, and a good fruit taste. This is a nice dinner cab, but could become much more.

Big wine that should decanted. One of the favorites at a blind wine tasting

Dark, brooding. muted nose of blue fruits....Open 2 hours and not showing much. mild plum, soft strawberries, pencil led....soft tannins, mild tar. Needs more time to do something...or to be blended!
