A wonderful Rhone Blend GSM from Austin Hope in Paso Robles. 75% Grenache, 15% Syrah, and 10% Mourvèdre. Notes of Black Raspberry, Cherry, and Rosemary. Deep Purple in color. Firm Tannins and medium acidity. Medium finish. Paired tonight with a Black Bean soup with masa dumplings, topped with avocado cubes, feta, ancho chili crumbles and cilantro. The wine paired wonderfully and expressed additional notes of dark fruit and sweetness when paired with the salty and spicy soup. Very versatile wine …

- Brick color with slow forming legs and aromas of raspberry, black currant, cherry, cedar and tobacco. It's balanced and has flavours of blackberry, black currant, black pepper, licorice anise and vanilla with a full body. Smooth texture with a long finish - Decanted 2 hours. The wine is young and needs time to breathe and open. Its an amazing wine but needs food. We paired with butternut squash and turkey sausage pasta.

This was a safe wine, drank with charcuterie. It was disappointing to be honest, I was hoping for some Rhone-like tannins, but was very ordinary. I have had earlier vintages that showed much better.

It does not get any better than this show stopper of a wine! At first pour, you notice the deep inky purple which hints at the robustness to come. On the nose, dark fruit, vanilla and chocolate flirt your senses. The rich, thick dark fruit is layered with hints of tobacco, black pepper and earth tones. The robust palate paired with just-enough tannins to give you something to "chew on" make this an exceptionally balanced wine. One of my all …

One of my favorite Californian Rhone varietals! Pours like velvet rope - inky purple in color. Aromas of violets with a subtle oakiness. Tasting notes of ripe plums, cranberries and light tanin finish. Paired well with filet.
