Red fruit and dried herbs on the nose, tart cherry and cranberry on the palate. Medium(-) body with moderate tannins and quite a bit of acidity. Food friendly, but a little too tart on its own. Not the greatest QPR

Popped and poured. On the palate, black cherry, licorice, figs... Not overly oaky. Moderately high acid. Texture is satiny, with a classy polished sheen. Tannins are present but very smooth. Very good.

To my recollection, one of the few times I have had a 100% percent Sangiovese. See why people love this grape and style so much. Interesting to see what this does at it ages.
