Well, I did finish the bottle over two days, but not a great experience. I just couldn't give up on a Carignane. Easy off screw top. Dark ruby color with excellent clarity. Aromas of raspberry with flavors of iodine with a finish of hair straightener. So much acidity, I thought it would evolve over the years, it didn't. Nor did it soften with oxygen. One of the most confounding experiences I've ever had with a wine. Opened the screwcap to find a profoundly dark color, heavy duty fruit and flower aroma, but painfully tart. I am a big fan of acidity in red wine, but this was like a Belgian sour beer that went bad. Had a half glass, and couldn't drink any more. Tart boysenberry and cranberry on the nose is echoed on the palate with some dirt, excellent acid, and a medium finish

Scents of cool mixed berries and cherries, fresh dill, flowers (rose/lilac), loam, gentle peppery spice/cedar, and a hint of VA (or the dill note is playing tricks on me). Similar elements on the palate - cool crunchy red and dark fruit, with dill, flowers, earth, and mouthwatering salinity. Cedar and a hint of cinnamon develop for a spicy, savory, saline finish. Tart, lightweight, refreshing and extremely drinkable. This and Lioco Indica have shaken up my …

Fruity, earthy, spicy, dense. Not much tannin. Solidly tasty and should have the ability to go a fairly long time.
