Drinking day of opening the bottle: Clear notes of oak aging, with butter and pear on the palate. Drinking excellently now, but its refreshing quality will suit summertime even better. 90 points Drinking after the bottle has been open for 24 hours, the wine has really flourished. Butterscotch has taken over on the palate while the wine still keeps its pear and citrussy notes. Grand wine through and through bumping up my score by 2 points.

Really interesting wine. Elements of it feel Burgundian, particularly the creamy texture and flavours from French oak usage yet it has a beautiful floral aromatic quality that makes it beautifully complex. Very enjoyable.

At Meadowsweet, no formal note. This was attractive, floral, with a touch of creaminess and some breadth on the palate, nice acidity on a good length finish. Very good indeed.

Salty and mineral chardonnay fruit to the nose. And then some cream and richer fruit on the palate.

Definitely something of an oddity, so wanted to provide potential drinkers some idea of what they are getting themselves into with this wine. The wine is a three grape blend of Pinot Gris (55%), Pinot Blanc (40%) and Aligote (5%). When I tasted it, I felt it was most like a rough around the edges Chenin. Large acetone properties when giving the wine a sniff, grainy and funky at the same time. Not something I particular wanted to keep on …

Tasted blind I thought this was 10-15 years old lol... The toasty oak adding mature hints to my palate along with a smokey reduction on nose. Lemon, yellow stone fruit, apricot, a touch of yoghurt. Almost guessed Chenin Blanc. good acidic balance and toasty oak. Surprisingly complex. I enjoyed this! 93+

moderate depth of color, bright yellow rim. on the nose riper fruits, some minerality, no malo, a healhty dose of new barrique. on the palate high acids, some flesh on the midpalate, moderate alcohol. wonder if there is any vintage variation in this wine... well made and unique, ripe and fresh, not for oak averse but it is very nice oak

This is always a lovely, complex wine - effusive notes of white flowers, creamy peaches, vanillin oak and buttered brioche, supported by lemon confit and honeyed notes, maybe even with a suggestion of fresh figs. Mineral and herbal notes also gently poking through. The palate is fat, dense and mouth-filling, with supple acidity and a sneakily long finish that ends on a saline, mineral twist. Real bang for your buck, which should improve. 92+
