Belgravia Merlot

I have to agree with the last tasting note from crazywineguy - perfectly written. I was thinking right bank bordeaux before reading the note. Still drinking well, no sign of falling over. How a good merlot can age, still drinking well 9 years of age, tannins still present. I still have half a dozen which I will drink over the next couple of years. Tight, almost Bordeaux nose. Blackberry, pencil shavings, toasty oak. Hint of coffee and cabernet fruit (100% merlot). Structured with hint of mint and euculypt, fine tannins. Sweet, soy elements with just a hint of green underipe fruit in background (picked on different dates?). Long finish. Getting better with every year of ageing I have given it. Not at peak yet, prob get there 2019. Tannins mandate drinking it with food. Nice attempt at Right Bank red. Definitely cool climate Merlot …
