Due to the pandemic, I'm drinking what I have on hand, rather than going to offiste storage. As a result, I grabbed a second bottle after a recent disappointment with this wine. Well, sometimes things work out for unknown reasons. This bottle showed more sweetness and less tartness than the previous bottle, coming across like a well made Kabinett. Yellow and green apple were forefront on the palate, with nice density and a somewhat rounded mouthfeel. Drinking well now and …

It took significant coaxing to get much out of the nose, some green apple of moderate sweetness and fleeting scents of petrol. On the tongue the flavors are primarily lemon-lime, with some green apple and minerals poking through. Very faint sweetness (off-dry) with an acidic spine. Drinking well; I do not see this falling off a cliff nor improving with more time sideways. Day 2: I preferred this on the second night, which allowed a bit more exposure to air, …

Really delicious. Drank over two nights, great on opening and even better 24 hours later. Compared to last bottle, much more open in nose and palate. Lovely balanced dry mineral, acid & sweetness, coming through light lime, bit of lemon, green apple, softer yellow fruit hints, adding mild resin over time. Finish goes just a bit to slight softness like a caress on palate. High quality for sure. Wish I had more.

Lemon, lime, green apple skins. Aromatic and concentrated and juicy. Touch of RS. Great value.

A fantastic value and impressive wine - delineated and narrow with nice sweetness on the bright, mineral palate. Over time it shows sweetish green apple notes and more bitter lemon rind flavors. Finally, there's a limey freshness that provides for great length and brightness.

Drank over several days. Muted on first opening, but got better with every day. Added richness and fruit on top of the lovely mineral/lime/yellow fruit. Agree with BEERZEBUB note. Not especially long on palate, but enjoyable and nicely defined overall.

Beautiful color - almost clear. Always reminds me of drinking mountain spring water. A solid showing and always a very nice wine.

Crushed stone, lime, and underripe white peach aromas. Fresh and stony/mineral on the palate, with plenty of acidity; almost completely dry, with a bare touch of sweetness offsetting the acidity just enough to keep it balanced, highly refreshing, and very easy to drink. Nice!

Best bottle yet. Bright green fruit, a lush nose but an almost bone dry finish. A lot of depth for $17. A very nice near term drinker.

Drank two bottles over Thanksgiving weekend. What a nice value. The nose is a bit round, as is the initial impression on the palate, but then the zip and mineral kick in and the finish is dry. Citrus and rocks with maybe a tiny bit of something more green. Good complexity for the price. With both bottles (and they were very consistent), I enjoyed them most on day 2, when some of the fruit fat had faded and these seemed …

I normally skip over this bottling to pay a little more for the Senior, which I love. But this is quite nice too, green fruit, sweet grassy/herbal character adding complexity, zippy acid that's not too tart, balanced with just a hint of RS. Less going on here but this goes down easy.

Terrific Riesling for under $20. Great minerality. A wonderful aperitif, although it complements fish and vegetable courses nicely.

The perfect brunch/afternoon riesling. Fresh, balanced, enough acid and bit of sweetness to keep it interesting. Somewhat juicier than usual, but that's the vintage I'm beginning to see. 4 btls were consistent.

This was quite good again, this time in the 2014 vintage. Not quite as thrilling as the first time around, but maybe it's because I knew what to expect. I think it's the dry / sweet balance of this wine that really does it for me. Great acidic tingle perfectly balanced by a touch of sweetness. Great value.

Classic Lauer--acid, tension, minerals, etc. Not a lot of depth or finish, but for the price, a pleasure.

Classic Lauer with its cool, slatey nose and piercing minerality, acidity, and nervy tension on the palate. This doesn't have the depth of his other bottlings, and it got a little tiring on the palate after a while without food, but this is still a super QPR.

Golden straw. Not tremendously expressive on the nose. Round ripe almost exotic fruit - melons and pears - with mouth watering acidity. Absolutely crazy value at $17. I got a half case. I will probably get more.
