Deep golden. Quite advanced. I would say over the hill.

Green apples, lemon, a touch of cracked white pepper and a crisp finish. Well rounded wine, but it could be losing some luster. Drink now.

Lighter golden color. Nose: preserved lemon, white peach, mixed melon, and red apple with accents of honeysuckle, vanilla, chalk, sourdough, and cinnamon. Medium body on the palate: mixed apple, honeydew melon, and white peach framed by honeysuckle, sourdough, creme brulee, river stone, white pepper, and baking spices. Medium acidity. Lingering apple skin, sourdough, river stone, and baking spices on the moderate/long finish. Very delicious, relatively complex mountain Chardonnay. Drink now.

Double decanted at cellar temp, then tossed in the fridge for a half hour, after which it seemed to be in a sweet spot. Similar to previous note without any rough patches. A worthy candidate for a house wine under $25. Yes I'd like more stones/chalk and a touch less gingerbread/caramel sweetness but this is a fine middle of the road CA Chardonnay that will please most anyone at a reasonable price. The great customer service doesn't hurt either: Coastview …

Honeydew melon, minerals, and apple medly. On day 1, started out with a bitter streak on the mid-palate, but has since evened out, with the acids integrating better with air and revealing a nice mid weight Chardonnay with no funny angles and a nose that punches way above its price point. 88-90 points from start to finish.
