Ripe, candied raspberry on the nose and palate. Fairly bright acid, no notable oak characters so I suspect neutral oak. Feels more in line with the modern McLaren Vale Grenache style - light and bright - than what I think of as Barossa Grenache: bigger and richer; but I consider that a positive as McLaren Vale is really defining the standard for high quality Australian Grenache in the last decade or so.

Ruby red. Raspberry cordial nose with a bit of white pepper? Feels like a Shiraz note but that's what I'm getting 🤷‍♂️ It's quite weighty for Grenache, matches my experience with the Hobbbs' Shiraz wines - big and rich in a Ringland legacy style. I think the modern light-bodied and lively style and drunk young is where Australian Grenache looks its best in this era, but this is a good example that a bigger richer style can still hold up …

Disappointing Expecting Spinifex quality to stand out from the selection in the set Nora tasted wood, I tasted prickle, very little to say grenache
